In 1968, the Los Angeles Stars moved up the freeway from Orange County, where they had been known as the Anaheim Amigos, a charter member of the original American Basketball Association (ABA) beginning in 1967. Their home court was the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena where they spent two seasons before moving to Utah.
